GigMap is a mobile app that shows paid offline tasks ("gigs") on a live map of your city. Posters publish gigs; workers send offers; when a poster accepts an offer the two sides chat, meet, complete the work, and rate each other. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. Data we collect

• Account data. When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address, and a sign-in identifier. Apple lets you hide your real email. We do not receive your password.
• Profile data. Your display name, optional photo, ratings received from other users, and your reliability ("shows up") score computed from your completed gigs.
• Location. With your permission, your device's precise location — used only to center the map on you and show gigs nearby. We do not track your location in the background and do not store a movement history. When you post a gig, the address you enter becomes part of that gig.
• Content you create. Gig titles, descriptions, pay, addresses, and photos; offers; chat messages; ratings and reviews.
• Device data. A push-notification token (so we can notify you about offers and messages) and crash reports (device model, OS version, crash traces) used to fix bugs.

We do not collect data for advertising and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

3. Why we process it (legal bases, GDPR Art. 6)

• To run the service — accounts, gigs, offers, chat, ratings, push notifications (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To keep the marketplace safe — reliability scores, offer limits, moderation of reported content, blocking (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Location — only with your consent via the system permission prompt (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can revoke it in device settings and still browse the map manually.
• Crash reporting — legitimate interest in a working app (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. What other users see

GigMap is a marketplace, so some of your data is visible to others by design: your display name, photo, ratings, and shows-up score; the gigs you post (including pay, description, photos, and the gig's location on the map); and the messages you send to your matched counterpart. Your email and precise device location are never shown to other users.

5. Where your data lives and who processes it

• Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) — hosted in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).
• Google Firebase — push-notification delivery and crash reporting.
• MapTiler — map tiles; your IP address reaches their servers when the map loads.
• Google / Apple — sign-in only.

These providers act as processors under contracts that meet GDPR requirements, including standard contractual clauses where data leaves the EEA. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

6. How long we keep it

Your data is kept while your account exists. Completed and cancelled gigs, ratings, and chat history are retained while both accounts are active — ratings and reliability scores are the trust backbone of the marketplace. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or irreversibly anonymized; we may retain minimal records where the law requires it (for example fraud or abuse reports).

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You can ask us for access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your data; you can object to or ask us to restrict processing; and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to alexandr.climov@gmail.com — we answer within 30 days. You can also delete your account directly in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account). If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you may complain to your local data-protection authority.

8. Children

GigMap is for adults arranging paid work and is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 to use it.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
